Getting to 10,000 Facebook fans in 4 months

At Pixability we’re fascinated by all the cool and innovative companies we get to create videos for. And we love telling our customers’ stories.
Our client EasyCare eliminates the need for nailing a metal horseshoe to a horse’s hoof. Instead they have created horse boots! EasyCare produces a full line of hoof boots and natural hoof care products.
Owner Garrett Ford (referred by his brother, another happy customer) approached Pixability to create videos as part of their social media strategy. The company’s product line is very diverse and the goal was to capture the various features its products can offer.
We interviewed Kevin Myers, Director of Marketing at EasyCare about how the company uses video:
“We placed our first video front and center on our homepage. But our strategy goes further than that. We use social media to forge deeper relationships with our customers. For example, just in the last four months 9,300 people have become Easyboot fans on Facebook. Videos help us reach our fans because they help explain our products in an involved and compelling way.”
“We are cutting edge in our industry and need to educate a diverse set of customers. Video is an easy and entertaining way to educate. We also blog very frequently. Each of our employees writes a blog post every week.”
“We first created two videos but have signed up for six more because video is an essential part of our social media effort.”

Great Video
Fantastic video. I remember using this product as a kid. They were essential for one of our horses. The one that constantly tried to kill the farrier.
