Meet the Pixers is our blog series where we introduce you to the talented folks who make our company a success. Today, we’re featuring Josh Belanger, our IT Manager.

Tell us a little bit about your background:

It all started a long long time ago in a galaxy far away… Just kidding! Well, let’s see. First off I live in remote Northern Maine with my lovely wife and 2 kids. As for my professional side, I have been a “nerd” for as long as I can remember and my career started about 15 years ago at a small university. I started out at the bottom as an IT Support Technician and continued in that career path all the way to Director of IT. However, you never quite know where life will take you and just a few short months ago I landed here at Pixability and couldn’t be happier!

What is the last thing you watched on YouTube?

Definitely DiscGolf content of some sort. I became hooked on playing disc golf during COVID (like many people) but I had played a few rounds prior. Now I bring discs with me everywhere I travel! Luckily I convinced my wife to also play so she doesn’t get mad when I buy more discs.

What is the best career advice you have ever received?

While it may sound a bit blunt, the truth is that everyone is replaceable in the professional world. However, this notion can be seen as a positive reminder that change is constant, and it presents opportunities for growth and progress. It’s also important to remember to stay focused on your goals and remain open to new possibilities.

What advice would you give to someone starting out in their career?

Find a job you love and are passionate about. When you enjoy what you do, you are more likely to put in the effort to succeed and feel fulfilled by your work.
