Following some of the events of this summer, our CEO David George shared a blog post detailing some of the initiatives that we as a company are committing to as a way to support the movement around racial equity. One of those initiatives was to use our expertise and influence on YouTube to support Black voices on the platform. At our core, we believe that marketers should put media dollars behind the platforms, businesses, and artists that mirror their own values.

So, we worked to build an inclusion list for use on any YouTube platform (including Google Ads and DV360) that makes it easy for advertisers to support Black artists and creators on YouTube. We’re very happy to officially announce the first version of the Black Creators Inclusion List — compiling important, brand-suitable channels on the platform for advertisers to put their video ad dollars behind Black creators, artists, and video makers. We now want to make that list available free for any agency or brand advertising on YouTube that wants to make a positive impact on the world by supporting these amazing creators. Please click here to access the full list, free of charge.

Here’s a sampling of just a few of the channels featured in our inclusion list of Black creators:

We’re continuing to evolve this inclusion list, and we’d like to take a moment to encourage Black creators that are sharing content on YouTube to apply to be included on the list. To be eligible to be on the list, there are some requirements including having a channel that is ad eligible and meets certain view and subscriber qualifications for serving ads. To apply to the inclusion list, please click here and share some information about your YouTube channel.

Together, we can amplify the voices of these rising Black creators, and make a positive impact in a tangible way by ensuring their channels are included in major advertiser YouTube campaigns.
