Tell us a little bit about your background
I started my career in Mexico — I was working in some financial companies. It’s been almost 3 years since I joined the Pixability team, and since the first day I have learned a lot since the work area and the environment is very different from Mexico. And to be honest, I love learning, especially from the people I work with. Our colleagues are people we have a lot to learn from and who always leave me in awe.
What is the last thing you watched on YouTube?
I like to do different types of meditations or pick up new habits in my life, and I always look for guided meditations on YouTube. The latest video I’ve seen is a guided meditation by Clark Kegley, but not only does he have meditations, he also recommends wellness books and gives you tips on journaling and breathing techniques.
What is the best career advice you have ever received?
“Get out of your comfort zone.” To grow you have to have aspirations, whatever they may be, so always try new and scary things. I feel it has been key in my life, to know that you have many more abilities than you think and not to limit yourself.
What advice would you give to someone starting out in their career?
Do not get stuck in only what you studied, see that there are more possible careers for you, and you can always grow or change the course of your life. Don’t settle, always look for what makes you feel that you are not working, but that you enjoy what you do. And don’t be afraid to ask questions, no matter how small your doubt may be.
