Meet the Pixers is our blog series where we introduce you to the talented folks who make our company a success. Today, we’re featuring Colette Schirmer, our Senior Director of Customer Success.
Tell us a little bit about your background:
I majored in Political Science, started out in law school but became very inpatient and eager to start working full-time and be in NYC. I started out at another adtech company focused in the mobile space with technology around semantic search. I was very close to going to a measurement company, but in the end chose Pixability!
What is the last thing you watched on YouTube?
Co-viewing and/or my 3 year old son snatching my phone so there is a lot of batman, blippi and transformers. We unfortunately called his taste in shows “trash” 1x so now he regularly says he wants to watch trash 🙂 We switched to YTTV back in 2021 so that is where most of our streaming occurs.
What is the best career advice you have ever received?
Consider your audience and who you are talking to, be respectful to different opinions and open to feedback. Be solution oriented.
What advice would you give to someone starting out in their career?
The importance of active listening and really hearing people out + valuing different perspectives. Also to be vocal and ask questions!
